To think I haven't posted since November! We'll have to remedy that, but at least I made it before January was completely gone.
The occasion for this post is a song that's stuck in my head. It's a great song, a beautiful song, and another one of those songs that I want to be a hallmark of my life. Last week I was kind of fretting about a few things. I asked the Lord to help. I proceeded to tune into my Pandora(R) station, and wouldn't you know (hollapraize) this is the first one that started up.
When it's all been said and done-Don Moen (or Robin Mark?), "When It's All Been Said and Done" (Listen on YouTube)
There is just one thing that matters:
Did I do my best to live for truth?
Did I live my life for You?
When it's all been said and done
All my treasures will be nothing
Only what I've done for Love's reward
Will stand the test of time.
Lord Your mercy is so great
That you look beyond our weakness
And find purest gold in miry clay,
Turning sinners into saints.
And I will always sing Your praise
Here on Earth and ever after
For You've showed me heaven's my true home
And when all is said and done
You're my life when life is gone.
The last verse is really stuck in my head. At the end of the day, the Lord's name is to be praised.
